Zach Greinke returned to the mound and looked pretty good doing it. The Royals pitcher of the year in 2004 left the club before spring training because of psychological issues.

Friday, he was making a comeback start for the Royals AA affiliate Wichita Wranglers. He pitched five innings allowing just one run on four hits and struck out one. He did hit a batter, but it didn’t amount to anything. Of his 65 pitches, 41 were strikes. His next rehab start is scheduled for Wednesday. It is not known when he’ll return to the big leagues.
