Three former Missouri St. Bears will be in Kansas City this weekend to participate in the Chiefs free agent rookie mini-camp this weekend. Kicker John Scifres, who was a consensus NCAA Division II All-American in his junior year (2004) has been invited.
Also invited were wide receiver/kick returners Michael Sparks and Steven Rush. Sparks, who racked up 1,000 all-purpose yards in both seasons at MSU, was voted the team’s player of the year in 2005. Rush, also had two 1,000-yard seasons and, like Sparks, was the team’s player of the year in 2004.
