Four people are dead in a shooting rampage that started at a North St. Louis apartment and ended at a Wellston catering company. It began shortly after 10 o’clock this morning. Authorities say a man shot and killed his girlfriend at her apartment before going to a Wal-Mart store in Bridgeton, buying more ammunition, then going to his workplace where the shooting continued. Witnesses say the man shot and killed two women at Finninger’s Catering Service in Wellston, shot and critically wounded his boss, then turned the gun on himself, taking his own life. Police say the shooter was a disgruntled employee who had worked at the catering service for about five years. The reason for the shooting spree is not known.
