Between the penalties and fighting there was a hockey game and it didn’t fare well for the Blues, who lost to Columbus 4-1 on Thursday night. A total of 76 penalty minutes were handed out, with Blue Jacket’s Duvie Westcott getting whistled for 29 minutes in the box. He and Jamal Mayers were involved in a center ice fight in the second period after Mayers hit Sergei Fedorov. Mayers wasn’t penalized for the hit.

Fedorov and Marty Hartigan scored in a 1:18 span in the second period to give the Blue Jackets a 2-0 lead. Mayers later scored for St. Louis’ only tally.

The Blues have lost 16-of-17.
