The Blues didn’t have enough to top the Minnesota Wild in a 5-4 overtime shootout loss on Tuesday. Josh Harding, who was making his NHL debut, stopped 22 shots and allowed just one goal in the shootout. He stopped two of the three shots he faced in the shootout to get the win. Brian Rolston scored the game-winner in the third round of the shootout.

After the first period the two teams traded goals and were tied 1-1. In the second the offense exploded for five goals, as the two teams traded off scores. St. Louis scored three times in the second, the Wild scored twice and St. Louis led 4-3. Wes Walz tied the game with a goal at the 5:23 mark of the third to force overtime.

Blues goaltender Rheinhard Divis made 32 saves in the loss. For the second time this season, the Blues have lost a franchise-record 11 games.
