After spending all eight seasons of his NFL career with the Chiefs, cornerback Eric Warfield has signed with the New England Patriots. Warfield wasn’t re-signed by the Chiefs, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Warfield played in eleven games in 2005, after missing the first four serving a suspension for breaking the NFL’s substance abuse policy. In 2004, he was nabbed for his third DWI in four years.

Upon his return, Warfield made 57 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown. Warfield grabbed 20 interceptions and made 365 tackles in his eight seasons as a Chief.
