Missouri chapters of the Arthritis Foundation have come up with a fun idea to increase physical activity among those who are suffering from arthritis. Sarah Coats with the Arthritis Foundation of Western Missouri and Greater Kansas City says this physical activity can be something as easy to do as going for a walk. This kind of physical activity can help limit the deterioration of bones and cartilage related to arthritis. So, to encourage Missourians to stay active, the Arthritis Foundation suggests something as simple as taking the dog for a walk. Missouri chapters of the Arthritis Foundation organize several walks throughout the year, and people are invited to bring Fido along for the walk. To learn where the walks are being held, log onto www.arthritis.org.
