The Blues were beaten 7-2 by the Flames on Thursday night, a day after a win by Anaheim mathematically eliminated them from the playoffs for the first time in 25 years. The Flames took a 3-0 in the second period and needed just 14 shots on goal to do it. Goaltender Patrick Lalime was pulled and replaced with Rheinhard Divis, who allowed four goals. Calgary scored four times in the second period. Defenseman Jordan Leopold had a goal, while fellow defenseman Roman Hamrlik scored twice. It was the Blues’ fifth straight loss.
