Major League Baseball dangles the latest big carrot before Kansas City voters, promising an All Star Game sometime between 2010 and 2015 if voters approve taxes for renovations of Kauffman Stadium. The Royals hosted the All Star game in 1973, when the stadium was new. The National Football League earlier promised to play the Super Bowl in Arrowhead Stadium if voters approve the tax package – which includes a movable roof for both parks.
