The Rams signed free agent cornerback Fahkir Brown to a five-year deal on Tuesday. He spent the last four seasons with the Saints, playing under new Rams defensive coordinator Jim Haslett. Injuries limited Brown to just four starts last season, but he played in 12 games. This will be his sixth season.

The Chiefs are now in search of a back-up quarterback. Todd Collins, who spent the last eight seasons with Kansas City, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Redskins. Collins was a starter in Buffalo before coming to the Chiefs in the 1998 season. In his time, appeared in 12 games with no starts.

The Kansas Star has reported that the Chiefs are going to make contract offers to free agent defensive tackle Rocky Bernard of the Seahawks and Giants free agent cornerback Will Allen.
