Evangel University became the fourth Missouri team to advance to the round of 16 at the NAIA Division II men’s basketball tournament at Point Lookout, Missouri on Thursday with an 82-74 win over Bellevue University (Neb.).

EU led 45-35 at the half and held on for the eight-point victory. Ryan Luethy led four Evangel players in double-figures with 18 points, while Todd Simon grabbed 15 rebounds.

Evangel, which is the 15th-seed, will play 2nd-seeded Huntington (Ind.) tonight at 5:45.
4th-seeded College of the Ozarks, which is the host of the tournament, will take on 13th seeded William Jewell College of Liberty, Missouri tonight at 7:30. Lindenwood University of St. Charles, Missouri is the 8th-seed and will take on 9th-seeded Taylor (Ind.) at 8:30 this morning.

At the NAIA Division II women’s tournament in Sioux City, Iowa, top-seeded College of the Ozarks topped 8th-seeded Webber International (Fla.) 75-50 to advance. They’ll face 4th-seeded Aquinas (Mich.) tonight.
