For the fourth straight season, the Southeast Missouri St. women’s basketball team has advanced to the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The second-seeded Redhawks topped seventh-seeded Murray St. 80-49 at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau Tuesday to advance.

SEMO scored the first seven points of the game and never let up, racing out to a 35-19 lead at the half.

In the second half the Redhawks scored almost at will, hitting 55.2 percent of their shots. Tatiana Conceicao was easily the most dominant player on Tuesday night, leading all players with 23 points. She also led both teams with 11 rebounds and six assists, as SEMO improved to 20-8 on the year. They’ll face third-seeded Samford on Friday afternoon.
