Tommie Liddell didn’t lead Saint Louis University in scoring, but he was far-and-away the leader on the court as SLU ripped Duquesne 70-57 in Pittsburgh Wednesday night. Liddell was just two assists shy of a triple-double, with 13 points, 12 rebounds eight assists and four steals for the Billikens.

The SLU defense was tough, once again, holding Duquesne to 39.6 percent shooting. They limited the Dukes to just eight field goals in the second half. The Billikens, meanwhile, were consistent, with 13-of-27 performances in both halves.

The Billikens led almost the entire game and were up by as many as 20 in the second half. Ian Vouyoukas was the leading scorer for SLU with 19 points. He also grabbed eight rebounds.

The win moved the Billikens into a tie for fourth place in the Atlantic 10 with Fordham. SLU is 13-10 on the season and 7-4 in the conference.
