An announcement is expected soon from the University of Missouri regarding their investigation into the events surrounding Quin Snyder’s resignation. Chancellor Brady Deaton told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Director of Athletics Mike Alden is sticking to his claim that he did not send special assistant and broadcaster Gary Link to tell Quin Snyder that he’d been fired as the basketball coach. Snyder said on Tuesday that that’s exactly why Link stopped by to see him one week ago.

The findings from the investigation were expected yesterday, but apparently Deaton needed to more information before making his findings final. Deaton, President Elson Floyd and Board of Curators member Don Walsworth all refuted a claim that Alden consulted with them on the decision to fire Snyder.

Snyder indicated that he was told they had all given the move their stamp of approval to fire him.
