The weekly MU coaches show “Tiger Talk”, along with the “Mike Alden Show” had to be moved to the Clinton Club at Mizzou Arena Monday, when Dennis Harper, the owner of Harpo’s bar in Columbia, decided he no longer wanted the two programs to broadcast from his establishment.

The programs will be at the Clinton Club at Mizzou Arena the rest of the season.

Harper told the Kansas City Star that MU broadcaster Gary Link, who is a good friend of Harper’s, has been treated unfairly by the university. Link, who provides color commentary for MU men and women’s basketball, was allegedly sent by MU Director of Athletics Mike Alden to tell Quin Snyder on Thursday that he would be fired at the end of the season. Alden denies that he sent Link to tell Snyder that news, claiming he just wanted Link to see how Snyder was doing.

Below is Missourinet Sports Director David Sprague’s interview with Laird Veatch of Mizzou Sports Properties, which is prodcues “Tiger Talk”. MSP is a division of Learfield Communications, which also owns Missourinet.

Snyder resigned the next day. Link hasn’t commented on the situation.
