The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame inducted 14 individuals on Sunday in an enshrinement ceremony in Springfield. The list included:

•Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa
•St. Joseph native and former William Jewell/Kansas St. football coach Bill Snyder
•Royals all-time save leader, Jeff Montgomery
•Chiefs all-time leading tackler, Gary Spani
•St. Louis broadcaster Greg Marecek
•St. Louis native and creator of “Big Foot”, Bob Chandler
•St. Louis native and WNBA Player/U.S. Volleyball Olympian, Kristin Folkl
•Granby native and former CMSU basketball coach/NBA player Lynn Nance
•Rolla native and former NCAA football coach Chuck Shelton
•Former Williams Jewell football coach Dr. Norris Patterson
•Three Rivers Community College basketball coach/National Junior College Hall of Fame Inductee, Gene Bess
•Northwest Missouri St. University athletic trainer, David Colt
•Former Springfield-Greene Co. Park Director, Dan Kinney
•Springfield native and Tae Kwon Do champion, Richard Osborn

The Hall of Fame also recognized St. Louis native Rusty Wallace for his distinguished career in NASCAR with a Missouri Sports Legend honor. Wallace retired from full-time racing after finishing in the top ten in points last season.

The 1983-1984 Central Missouri St. University men and women’s basketball teams were inducted, as well. Both were NCAA Division-II national champions that season.
