New Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards has rounded out his first coaching staff in Kansas City by announcing three new hires on Tuesday. Jon Embree, who spent the last three seasons as an assistant at UCLA, will be the Chiefs new tight ends coach. The Chiefs also hired David Gibbs to be a defensive backs coach. Gibbs was Auburn’s defensive coordinator in 2005 and spent four years as an assistant for the Denver Broncos before. Mike Ketchum, who was a defensive graduate assistant at the University of Iowa for the last three seasons, will be an offensive assistant.

Rams head coach Scott Linehan will have to find a new assistant. Nick Holt, who accepted a position with the Rams earlier this week, backed out of that commitment to become the defensive coordinator at the University of Southern California. Holt spent the last two years as the head coach at the Universtiy of Idaho. He was the linebackers coach at USC for the three before he went to Idaho.
