The St. Louis Rams added nine people to their coaching staff and retained a coach from Mike Martz’s staff on Monday. The most notable addition is former Saints defensive coordinator Rick Venturi, who will come to St. Louis to be Scott Linehan’s assistant head coach and linebacker’s coach.

Willy Robinson, who was also an assistant with the Saints last year, will become the Rams secondary coach. Nick Holt, who is a former colleague of Linehan’s, is leaving his post as the head coach at the University of Idaho to become the Rams’ defensive line coach.

Bob Ligashesky, who was hired as the Rams special team’s coach will be retained.
