Northwest Missouri Congressman Sam Graves says it’s unfortunate for Missouri that Congressman Roy Blunt failed in his bid to become the Majority Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives. As for the reason for Blunt’s defeat, Graves dismisses speculation that Blunt’s loss was a case of Republicans trying to distance themselves from the scandals of former Majority Leader Tom DeLay and disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. And, Graves says despite his own disappointment, there’s still a good team leading his caucus. Blunt goes back to being Majority Whip.
