The Missouri Tigers lost to 7th/8th ranked Texas at Mizzou Arena 66-53 Wednesday night. The two teams struggled through the first half on offense, as the Longhorns took a 28-20 lead.

Texas then erupted in the second half, shooting 63 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes of the game.

Two of the players who were expected to shine, didn’t in the first half. Texas forward P.J. Tucker was held to two points and MU’s Thomas Gardner had just three. Both players came out of their shells in the second half. Tucker finished with 20 points in the night and Gardner had 15.

It marked Mizzou’s fourth straight loss and dropped their season record to 10-9. They’re 3-5 in the Big 12. Texas is 18-3 and 6-1.
