The Missouri St. Bears won their second straight with an 84-59 home victory over Drake. For the second-straight game, the Bears defense held an opponent under 60 points and 30 percent shooting. Drake made 28.1 percent (18-of-64) from the floor, while the Bears hit 50 percent.

The second half seemed quite effortless for MSU, offensively. The Bears were 20-of-30 in the second half. Dale Lamberth was MSU’s leading scorer with 19 and Blake Ahearn added 18. Hitting a game-opening three-pointer, Ahearn was held scoreless until he exploded for 15 straight points in a span of less than three minutes in the second half.

Chris Bryant had 19 points to lead the Bulldogs in the loss.

Missouri St. improved to 14-6 on the season and 7-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference, while Drake fell to 11-12 and 4-8.
