The Blues grabbed a 2-0 lead over the Redwings, before falling 3-2 in Detroit on Wednesday. Lee Stempniak and Keith Tkachuk scored in the first period to St. Louis the lead.

In the second period, Mikael Samuelsson scored his 18th goal of the year to get Detroit on the board. Then, at the 8:10 mark of the third, former St. Louis Blue Brendan Shanahan tied it up with his 24th tally of the season.

It remained 2-2 until Henrik Zetterberg scored for the 24th time this season at the 16:05 mark to give the Red Wings the eventual game-winner.
