The Natural Resources Department is considering a report charging Kansas City Power and Light has violated state permit standards at its poiwer plant near Weston. A study done at Washington University Law School says KCP&L increased power generation at the plant without modifications that would have required the company to get a new permit. The study says the ploant has been producing more pollutants than it should have been. KCP&L has not denied the plant is generating more power. But it says the report is based on faulty data and faulty assumptions.
