If you ever want to know who your kids are calling on their cell phones, or who’s calling your spouse, your business competitor, your state legislator, even your police chief – all you have to do is pay a company to send you the records. Your records are for sale too. Several Internet companies will do it for a fee. Senator Patrick Dougherty of St. Louis wants to make it a crime for them to do that. That can mean as much as six months in jail for a conviction.
