Senate Democratic Leader Maida Coleman is thinking about dropping her candidacy for State Auditor, and maybe running for St. Louis City License Collector. She says she has been meeting with city officials to talk about changing her campaign. Coleman says some Democrats have privately urged her not to run for Auditor. Coleman has had some personal financial problems and filed for bankruptcy protection several years ago. Buchanan County Auditor Susan Montee announced earlier she was going to run and has more than one-half million dollars in the bank, most of it her own money. Coleman had raised about $35,000.
