A $4-Million renovation of the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library at Westminster College in Fulton now gets serious. The building has been closed to the public as the finishing touches to a new state-of-the-art museum are completed. Churchill Museum Executive Director Robin Havers says he hopes the renovated museum will help people understand the real Churchill. Havers says he has no interest in presenting a sanitized version of Churchill. The new museum will chronicle Churchill’s life, from his youth, through three wars, to his Iron Curtain Speech warning about the coming Cold War. The renovated museum will open the first weekend of March to coincide with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Iron Curtain Speech.
