Gunther Cunningham’s second stint as defensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs is not over yet. Head coach Herman Edwards announced yesterday that we will retain Cunningham. The Chiefs defense was ranked 25th in the NFL, but over the final eight games of the season it was ranked 12th.

The status of offensive coordinator Al Saunders is still up in the air. He was in Oakland on Wednesday interviewing for the Raiders head coaching vacancy. The Chiefs offenise was number one in the NFL in 2004 and 2005.

The Chiefs have signed one of the best the Canadian Football League has to offer. Quarterback Casey Printers, who was named the most outstanding player in the CFL in 2004, agreed to a three-year deal with Kansas City on Wednesday.
