The Missouri women’s basketball team has cracked the AP Top 25 for the first time in over 21 years, by checking in at No. 24 this week. The last time they were in the Top 25 was on the December 30, 1984 poll.

Missouri ended Baylor’s 30-game winning streak last Wednesday with a 64-61 win over the defending national champions in Columbia. Then on Saturday, Mizzou beat Kansas St. at home 64-82 to improve to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12.

The Tigers are on an 11-game winning streak, which is the third-longest in program history. They face Nebraska in Lincoln on Wednesday.

Senior Guard LaToya Bond scored 21 against Baylor and 20 against K-State—those performances earned her the Big 12 Player of the Week Award on Monday. She’s the first Tiger to win the award since Tracy Franklin in 2001.
