Official times haven’t been set, but sometime today the Chiefs are expected to hold a press conference to introduce Herman Edwards as the team’s new head coach. Last week, after more negotiating than many expected, the Chiefs and Jets agreed on a deal that would allow Edwards out of the final two years of his contract as the head coach for the Jets. Kansas City had to offer New York their fourth-round pick in the 2006 draft.

Rumors of Titans head coach Jeff Fisher coming to the Rams are false, according to a report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. President John Shaw told the paper that they are not pursuing Fisher and he didn’t know why the rumor began.

The Rams are expected to talk to Giants defensive coordinator Tim Lewis today and Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt later this week.
