Southeast Missouri St. won their second-straight game by topping Eastern Illinois 72-60 in Charleston, Illinois Thursday. SEMO jumped out to a 37-27 lead by halftime and pushed the lead to 14 points early on in the second half.

Eastern Illinois was able to cut the Redhawks lead down to five points within the first five minutes of the second half, but SEMO bounced back and rarely led by less than 10 points the rest of the way.

SEMO shot 57.9 percent from the field in the second half and hit 53 percent of their shots for the game. They hit 8-of-19 three pointers. Roy Booker led the way for the Redhawks with 26 points. Terrick Willoughby added 15 and no other SEMO player scored more than six points.

With the win Southeast Missouri St. improved to 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference, while EIU fell to 2-9/1-4.
