Things are at an all-time high for the Missouri baseball team. The Baseball America pre-season poll was released on Thursday and the Tigers come into the season ranked 10th in the nation. This marks the highest pre-season ranking ever for Mizzou.

Last season, the Tigers were 21st in the final poll after a 40-23 campaign that featured a run in the NCAA regionals.

The magazine also named junior pitcher Max Scherzer (Chesterfield, Mo.) as a first-team All-American selection. Scherzer was 9-4 last season with a 1.86 ERA. He struck out 131 batters in 106.1 innings and was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year.

Fellow junior Hunter Mense was named to the third team, after hitting .327 last season.
