Governor Matt Blunt’s budget recommendations are going to include a funding increase for community health centers. The Governor says funding for these health care centers was increased by one-million dollars last year, and he wants to add to that this year with an addition $700,000. The centers provide medical, dental, and mental health services to uninsured and underinsured Missourians. The State of the State Address will be delivered net Wednesday night. These new resources would be used to fund new community health centers in Hannibal and the Jefferson City-Linn area … and expand centers in Naylor and Poplar Bluff.
