Governor Matt Blunt and legislative budget leaders are on the same page as far as the state’s revenue estimates are concerned. The Governor, Senate Appropriations Chairman Chuck Gross, and House Budget Chairman Allen Icet agree the state’s general revenue fund should take in $7.039-Billion in the 2006 fiscal year – a net growth of 4.9 percent. And, they expect a net growth of $7.358-Billion for the 2007 fiscal year – an increase of 4.5 percent. Blunt, Gross, and Icet say these solid growth projections are based on strength of personal and corporate income taxes stemming from increased economic activity in Missouri.
