MU notched its most lopsided regular season win of the season with a 73-44 trouncing of Louisiana-Monroe. The Tigers and Indians kept it relatively close early on, until MU went on a monstrous run to end the first half.

A three pointer by Indians guard Tony Hooper cut Missouri’s lead to 18-13. The Tigers responded by scoring the final 18 points of the half and took a 36-13 lead into the locker room. The Tigers started the second half with a 10-2 run and the rout was on for MU.

Thomas Gardner led all scorers with 18 points for the Tigers, while Kevin Young added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman Leo Lyons scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Marshall Brown scored 10 points and had six rebounds.

Perhaps the most impressive statistic for Missouri came on the boards, where they out-rebounded Louisiana-Monroe 44-20. Mizzou had 22 turnovers and the Indians had 23.

Missouri, which has now won three in a row since their 82-50 loss to Illinois, improved to 7-4 on the season, while the Indians dropped to 4-8. MU opens up Big 12 play on Saturday with a home game against Oklahoma St.
