The Missouri women’s basketball team won its eighth straight game with a 68-62 win over Alabama St. at Mizzou Arena on Monday. The Tigers struggled from the field hitting just 35.1 percent of their shots against the Hornets.

MU trailed 34-31 at the half after making just 27.3 percent of their shots. It was even worse for the Tigers in the early stages of the game, as they missed 14 of their first 17 shots. Rebounding was also a problem for Missouri, which was outrebounded by a count of 44-36.

Carlynn Savant led MU in scoring with 15 points, while LaToya Bond scored 14 and EeTisha Riddle added 13.

The Tigers’ eight-game winning streak is the fifth longest in the country—they’re 9-2 on the season.
