For the first time ever, a University of Missouri volleyball player has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American first team. Senior setter Lindsey was named to the squad on Wednesday. Hunter averaged 14.22 assists per game as a senior, which led the Big 12. In fact, Hunter led the conference in assists in each of her four years at MU.

For her career, Hunter finished with 6,096 which is 15th in NCAA history. Last year, Hunter became the first Tiger to be named to the All-American second-team squad.

Junior middle blocker Nicole Wilson and junior outside hitter Jessica Vander Kooi were All-American Honorable Mentions.

The Tigers put together the best season in school history, advancing to the round of eight at the NCAA Tournament. They were denied a trip to the final four with a 3-1 loss to Tennessee last Saturday. Mizzou finished the season 25-5.
