A St. Louis County jury has rejected a $400-Million lawsuit against Daimler-Chrysler which claimed the Chrysler Town and Country minivan was unstable and lacked safety features that might have kept two people from being killed. The six-week trial has ended after only two hours of jury deliberation with a finding for the car company. The suit grew out of an accident in 2002 when a minivan with seven women in it rolled over more than four times when the driver went off the road and then steered back onto the highway abruptly. Two of the women in the van were killed. Four of the others were hurt. One was uninjured. A spokesman for Daimler-Chrysler says the quick verdict is a testament to the safety of the car.
