The Missouri Tigers lost to Davidson 82-73 on Wednesday, marking their second-straight loss to the Wildcats. MU trailed 21-4 early on, hitting just one of their first 11 shots. Davidson (4-2) never trailed. Thomas Gardner led Missouri (2-3) with a career-high 30 points, while Jimmy McKinney scored 16. Gardner was deadly from the outside, hitting eight three pointers on 14 attempts. The rest of the team was 3-of-14 from the arc. MU was 18-of-43 inside the three-point line on Wednesday.

The Tigers had no answer for Davidson’s Ian Johnson who scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Brendan Winters added 17 for the Wildcats. MU trailed 40-24 at the half and were down by as many as 18. The Tigers crept to within nine points, when Jimmy McKinney hit a jumper to cut it to 71-62.

MU was out-rebounded 47-35.
