The Army-Navy football game takes place Saturday in Philadelphia, but the rivalry will be heating up right here in Missouri as well. Two powerful men in this state – one in charge of state government, the other in charge of the Fort Leonard Wood’s Common Leader Training. What they’ll have in common is this weekend they’ll both be focused on the 106th meeting of Army and Navy on the football field. Governor Blunt is a 1993 Naval Academy graduate. He’s confident the Midshipmen will win. But Colonel Michael Pelkey, a 1976 graduate of West Point, says the Governor is out of touch when it comes to matters on the football field, and feels confident Army will win. In fact, he’s offered a bet – taking Army and giving two points for a tour of their respective workplaces, and lunch on the loser. The Governor has accepted the bet.
