The Missouri Volleyball team got the news it was waiting for on Sunday. After putting together a 22-4 season, and a number-ten ranking in the polls, the Tigers were awarded one of 16 regionals in the NCAA Tournament, which begins Friday.

MU will be the 10th seed overall and will face Missouri St.(24-8) at 7:30 at the Hearnes Center at 7:30 on Friday. The Bears got an automatic bid by knocking off 23rd ranked Wichita St. with a sweep in the championship match of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday.

The early game will feature Arkansas vs. St. Mary’s (Ca.) at 5:30.

The Tigers were one of seven Big 12 teams that earned a spot in the tournament. Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas St., Colorado, Texas and Texas A&M also earned bids.
