The best Missouri St. University-West Plains can hope for in the National Junior College Volleyball Championship is third place. The fourth-seeded Grizzlies, who are hosting the tournament, fell to top-seeded College of Southern Idaho in a sweep (29-31, 25-30, 28-30) in the semifinals on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, they beat Hutchinson Community College (Ks.) in the quarterfinals to advance.

MSU-WP (39-9) will face Western Nebraska Community College (52-2), which fell to third-seeded Miami-Dade, the defending national champs. Miami-Dade and CSI will battle for the title at 6:30. MSU-WP and NWC will square off at 4:30 for the consolation game.
