A blueprint for reforming state government has been submitted to Governor Matt Blunt. Blunt’s State Government Review Commission has presented its final report to the Governor, concluding a year-long study of Missouri’s governmental offices. The report contains 84 recommendations to make government run more efficiently. Some could not be implemented without legislative action. Others could be implemented through an executive order of the Governor. The recommendations include a proposal to consolidate banking, securities and insurance regulation within one department.
