How does a Super Bowl game in Kansas City sound? It could happen. National Football League owners have voted tentatively to award Kansas City a Super Bowl sometime between 2011 and 2021. But it’s not a sure thing. Kansas City will only get the game if improvements are made to Arrowhead Stadium. And, those improvements include a rolling roof at Arrowhead. Bill Lucas, Vice Chairman of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, says a Super Bowl would be a tremendous boost for the city – financially and otherwise. The Kansas City Chiefs believe the roof could cost between $100-Million and $200-Million. And, the team says this money would be in addition to about $300-Million needed for stadium upgrades. The team hopes to have a sales tax issue on the April ballot in Kansas City.
