The 2005 Major League Soccer MVP is a Missourian. New England Revolution forward and St. Louis native Taylor Twellman won the award yesterday after leading the league in scoring this season. He netted 17 goals this season. He’s only the third U.S. born player to win the MVP. He and the Revolution will face the L.A. Galaxy in the MLS Cup.

Twellman graduated from SLU High School and attended the University of Maryland.
