Missouri farmers and others interested in agriculture policy are invited to let their views be known to the United States Secretary of Agriculture as his farm forum is being held Friday afternoon in Springfield. USDA Secretary Mike Johanns comes to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield for his final forum in a tour that has visited 22 states. USDA spokesman Terri Teuber says there’s no registration required, no reserved seats held, and everyone with an opinion on farm policy is welcome to voice it. Teuber says there’s no significance in Springfield being chosen as Johanns’ final stop, other than the Secretary wanted to make sure and visit Missouri during the tour. Teuber says all the comments offered and information shared during the nearly 50 forums Johanns has attended will be collected for the Secretary to review, as will like information from forums run by other USDA officials.
