Blues All-Star right winger Keith Tkachuk has three broken ribs according to MRI results yesterday and those broken ribs will keep him out of commission for an undetermined period of time. It has been a rough season so far for Tkachuk, who was suspended for two weeks after showing up to camp overweight. Then in the first game of the season, he injured his groin. So far, Tkachuk has played in just two of the Blues’ nine games.

The rib injury occurred on October 15, when he got the blade of his stick stuck in the pads of Predators’ goaltender Tomas Vokoun and accidentally jabbed himself in the midsection with the butt-end of his stick.

They play the Ducks tonight in Anaheim.
