Flu vaccine supplies are flowing into Missouri, but the distribution is uneven. Supplies of flu vaccine continue to strengthen in Missouri. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, anyone wanting the vaccine should be able to get it. The State Health Department’s Sue Denney says that’s not uniformly true -that some distributors are still short, although the situation should be cleared up soon. There are some places to learn where supplies are better – a new website, www.immunizemo.org that links to other sources – findaflushot.com, for example. The State Health Department’s web page also has contact numbers for local health deparments. there also are regional information sources. She says larger numbers of flu cases don’t start to show up until december with the biggest numbers coming in January.
