Access to health care is one of the key topics being discussed by the Medicaid Reform Commission, meeting at the Capitol. Commission Chairman, Senator Charlie Shields of St. Joseph, argues that it is in the best interest of all Missourians that everyone in the state have access to health care, because somebody will pay to treat the uninsured. The Commission has been sifting through what has been heard in numerous public hearings and discussing the ideas of members as the panel begins preliminary work on a report to be delivered to the Legislature by January 1st.
