Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for September remained at a four-year-low and was 1.1 percent below the rate of a year ago. Marti Romitti with the State Department of Economic Development says the jobless number rose slightly from 4.6 percent in August to 4.8 percent in September, but it’s still below the national average. Romitti says what’s really important is the trend that is being set. And, he says the trend is positive.
