The Chiefs had two touchdown drives and a field goal from Lawrence Tynes to take a 17-0 lead in the second quarter. After the Eagles’ Sheldon Brown returned a Trent Green interception 40 yards for a touchdown, the Chiefs fired back immediately. Dante Hall returned the ensuing kick 96 yards for a touchdown. It was the sixth kick he’s returned for a score, which tied an NFL record.

With 1:26 to go in the first half, Donovan McNabb hit Terrell Owens for a seven yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 24-14. It was sign of things to come.

When the dust settled, Owens caught 11 passes for 171 yards.

The Eagles eventually rattled off 31 straight points and took a 37-24 lead before Kansas City countered with a late touchdown pass from Trent Green to Dante Hall with 1:24 to go. The on-sides kick attempt failed and the Chiefs got the loss.

Donovan McNabb, was 33-for-48 with 369 yards passing and three touchdowns. Trent Green was 19-for-30 with two TD’s and two interceptions.

The loss, their second in six days, dropped Kansas City to 2-2.
